Whitman Is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. he Is Also One of A Few Physicians in North Texas To Be Board Certified in Both Cataract Surgery and Lasik by the American Board of Eye Surgeons. Dr. Whitman Is A Recipient of the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. he Is A Past President of the American College of Eye Surgeons and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Whitman Has Been Asked To Serve On the Boards of the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society, American College of Eye Surgeons, and the Society for Excellence in Eyecare. he Is A Clinical Correspondent for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Currently the President for the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society.
